We want to offer a SPECIAL THANK YOU to Sgt Patrick "PK" Hunt and the Summit County Sheriff's Department. All of the officers present volunteered their time to assist us in honoring our veterans. We have received dozens of phone calls and emails thanking them for the job they did. Many of the riders told us that they have been on MANY rides and none have been been better managed by law enforcement than this one. The riders very much appreciated the care taken to keep them safe on the ride.

We appreciate the incredible job that you and your staff did to accommodate this ride. We have received many compliments on how well the participants were taken care of.

If you are visiting North East Ohio, this is the place to stay. It is a beautiful hotel (More like a resort) and they went out of their way to help us honor our veterans!

 

 

 

 

  

 We can not express enough at how amazed we are at the outcome of this ride.

We want to thank all of the riders, sponsors, guest speakers, visitors, volunteers and everyone else who participated in this event. It far exceeded our expectations for a "first year" event. This event was thought of, planned and executed in a little over two months. Most rides take six months or more to put in place. Hundreds of people worked together to accomplish this ride. THANK YOU!!! It could have never happened without all of your help and participation.

Image 1: Bikes beginning to stage at Days Inn in Richfield, Ohio. This was just a small section of one of three large staging lots. By the time the ride began, bikes were lined up around the entire hotel, with all three large lots full. We were beginning to worry about where to put more bikes.

The Ride Is Over Now What?

We are now sorting through the returned flags to find out who sponsored the flag(s). We are almost done. Once we finish sorting the flags, we will begin contacting the sponsors to see how we should get the flag(s) to them. If you have sponsored a flag and do not hear from us by December 1, 2011 please email us at info@ovmp.org or call us at (330) 773-6949. We will make sure that you receive your flag(s).

We also have many flags that were not sponsored. We are trying to locate family members, friends or towns that may want to have the flags. If you are willing to help, please email us at info@ovmp.org and we will give you a list of names to research.
